David & Chris’ Charity Chop
Thursday 12th September 2019

David Hobbs from MMX Retail and Chris Smith from M&S are having their locks chopped to raise money for The Brain Tumour Charity.

David’s son, Alex, was diagnosed with a Medulloblastoma in September 2017, aged just 3 and a half. Alex is the first child in the UK to take part in the PNET5 clinical trial, which is a new pioneering treatment. Over the last couple of years, the Team at MMX Retail and The Shop Agents Society have been raising money for The Brain Tumour Society so that other children, like Alex, will not have to suffer as much through their treatments and will reduce their life-changing critical long term disabilities.

The hair cut will be taking place on 12th September at 12.30pm in Dering Street - between Bonds and Duke of York pubs.

Every half an hour the scissors will come out and if enough is raised in each half hour period, they’ll be down to the BIC razors to ensure a silky smooth chop!

Our very own Mr Chairman – Howard Quigley will be on the clippers and if you yourself want to offer a hefty donation, you could be too!

Please get down there to show your support – friends, family, colleagues – it will be a great, fun day for all involved (maybe not David & Chris)!

If you would like to make a donation, please follow this Just Giving link.

Lastly, Alex and David’s wife Anthea, have helped The Brain Tumour Charity with this video to promote the PNET5 trail and their fundraising for it.
